They have great food and great service! Bartender is friendly and attentive but not annoying. Definitely worth a little drive if you're in Franklin. Try the hot chicken... It's hot!

The service, hostess, and waiting staff were very pleasant and nice. The atmosphere was cozy and a good place in town to meet friends to hang out. The location is spectacular to look out and see history. We had the won-tons with avocado dipping sauce which was very good but a little small for the size. Okay, so now for the food. I was a little disappointed in the Lemon/Tarragon Chicken Pasta. The chicken was dry, I didn't get enough mushrooms or spinach, and there were too many lima beans. It could have used more seasoning of some sort. BTW, the pasta was cooked perfectly and the lemon sauce was somewhat good (didn't want to be a downer on the entire piece). My wife kinda liked the Po-Boy but said the bread was just okay. One son had a cheeseburger and the other had chicken fingers. It was okay. Again, this is a great place to come meet friends and enjoy the atmosphere with great service, but be prepared to spend a pretty penny. I just wished the meals met the quality of their prices with wonderful products.

Love the neighborhood feel of Circa. Service is always personal whether you are having an entree or the brunch. Sunday Brunch is a must, don't forget the Mimosa's. Nice variety on the buffet, the biscuits are delicious!

Excellent food and atmosphere. We started with wontons which was an excellent blend of cheese and peppers. The gumbo had the just the right amount of heat that grew as you ate it. The strip, asparagus, and collards were excellent. We finished with the bread pudding which had a great Jack Daniels caramel sauce. Overall a great dining experience. Highly recommended!

Dan and I woke up hungry on a lazy Sunday and decided to find some brunch. Since it was a happy Sunday with no work or school for either of us, we ventured to a restaurant I'd noticed on Yelp: Circa. It had rave reviews on Yelp, and a $15 brunch buffet, so why not? It was a beautiful drive into the country for us on a nice day. What shocked me about Circa was that it wasn't jam-packed on a Sunday. It was small-town busy, but I'm used to 60-90 minute brunch waits at the trendy Franklin spots. In fact, we enjoyed this place so much I was hesitant to review it for fear the secret would get out! We were seated immediately, on the adorable porch no less. Perfection. The buffet had salad, fresh fruit, parfait, typical Southern brunch foods (Eggs Benedict, scrambled, potatoes, has brown casserole, bacon and meats, biscuits and gravy), chicken tenders, mac 'n' cheese, and other lunch-type foods. And DESSERT! I, of course, kicked off with a $6 mimosa. I had a plate and a half of food, determined to try lots of things. I found it to be delicious. Dan wasn't in love with the pancakes (he likes the unique ones at First Watch) but I felt like it was the best Southern brunch I'd had in ages. It tasted fresh and homemade. I thought the bacon was thick and well-crisped, and the biscuits were awesome. The mac 'n' cheese and hash brown casserole weren't as good as some other local places, but I was extremely satisfied with everything I ate! I also had some of the owner's homemade blackberry jam on the biscuits, as well as the poundcake with BLUEBERRY FROSTING. Wowza! And seriously, $15 for all-you-can-eat? Heavens. They also had craft cocktails, which were on the pricey side but on par with downtown Franklin pricing. So everyone needs to get to Circa for brunch... and by everyone I mean no one because I don't want to have to wait for a table... but I can't keep this place a secret because I'd love to drive business their way. :) I am reserving the 5th star for when I can get down there for a non-brunch meal, but for brunch in my mind it is 5-star and my new favorite in the Franklin area.

Great ambiance, friendly service and sleek decor greet you as you enter. Our server was knowledgeable and efficient. Decent wine list, and great menu- it was so hard to choose! Everything was delicious- ceviche to start, pork, pasta with vodka sauce, creme brulee for dessert- wonderful. We will be back!

We were told that Circa had a wonderful Sunday brunch and according to most of the yelp reviews they do. Sadly this was not the case when we had brunch there day before yesterday. Pros: excellent coffee and service, a very engaging server who truly enjoyed her job, good chicken tenders, good bananas foster, quiet country setting and not a very long drive from Nashville or Columbia, TN Cons: The poached eggs were so overdone that they had a crust and the yolks were hard. Heck I could have put two of them together and had a perfect tennis ball. The scrambled eggs were cold, the server offered to replace the eggs, but the replacement poached eggs were as bad as the original ones. The scrambled eggs when they finally arrived were hot, but by then my husband had finished his brunch and to finish with scrambled eggs was not appetizing. The fruit was down to the last few slices, the gravy was cold, We did not arrive until 11, but still this should not have been the case. Get a booth if you can, or a table no where near the buffet line. If your table is near the buffet, you will be closed in by people in line for the buffet. We did notice that the food was being replaced about the time after church guests were arriving, but too late for us. Conclusion: We will not be returning for brunch, may try dinner, but am skeptical. Would strongly suggest getting to the buffet as early as possible so as to have fresh and hot food.

First let me say the place looks great. My friend decided to give it a try on Sunday. I was starving so I got the buffet. She got the ceaser salad. For me, I felt the buffet wasn't worth the price, just because some of the items needed to be changed out due to overall freshness. I've eaten a many of buffets and this one was a little above average. The staff was friendly. I did look at some of the food pics online before we went but I didn't feel it delivered. We're gonna go back another time and try dinner. I will update the review if better food experience.

This place is amazing! I have been at least a dozen times and have never been disappointed... You can't go wrong with ordering the specials,Chef Lance is a wizard in the kitchen and it most definitely shows in his food! We had the curried pecan salad last night (regular menu item) and it was by far one of the best things I have ever put I my mouth...we ordered another one with our entree! The steak and biscuits are to die for and so are the green chili cheese wontons. If you haven't come to this place you really are missing out! Plus: Jeff is the bomb.com for a server...love him!

Hubby, baby, and I ate at Circa last night and wow were we impressed!!!! We went there while our daughter was at soccer practice and ate out on the front patio...it was a beautiful evening, the weather was perfect, and the view was awesome! But onto the most important part...the food! We ordered mussels to start...there weren't as many in the portion size as I like but they were delicious:). I had the tuna burger with a side of spinach...it was amazing! Hubby had the rice and shrimp jambalaya type of meal (there was shrimp in it)...he liked it okay, but liked mine more! Baby (15 months) loved the mussels (who knew???), the spinach, and the fruit. His meal was actually panko encrusted shrimp and a great dipping sauce with fruit which hubby and I loved but he was not that impressed with. During dinner we had a great conversation with the nicest people next to us!!! Lisa and her hubby (plus their brand new dog). They are regulars and raved about the place:)...her hubby is a vet at the horse hospital down the street. The chef even came out to talk to her and see her dog! We will definitely be back!!!

Saturday night we had an incredible dinner. We started with the barbecue shrimp and, although the bar was a little slow, the waitress was very nice and did her best. On New Year's Eve we saw they were in the weeds and now we know their kitchen is overwhelmed because their food is so good.

Circa delivers once again. With the distinct feeling of a neighborhood hideaway, the outdoor dining, high top bar seating, and traditional dining room, all work really well here. We have dined at Circa 4-5 times in the last 3 1/2 months, and they have delivered a consistent fun and delectable dining experience. The staff is very friendly and actually spends time visiting with those guests that encourage conversation. At the same time they respect those that want an intimate dining experience. The menu and wine/spirits offering are quite varied, and the chef delivers. The oysters were fresh, and the mussels were wonderful. I had the Pasta NOLA this evening and it was quite good. The Red Snapper chefs special this evening was also a big hit. Can't speak to the desserts as I have never tried them, but based on the appetizers and entrees would expect something innovative and tasty.

The lady and I stopped in here for lunch on Saturday. Definitely a step above anything else in Spring Hill. I was surprised that they were not busy during lunchtime on a Saturday. We were one of maybe 4 tables at 1:00. They looked closed from the outside because of the lack of cars, but we went in anyways, and I'm glad we did. Maybe people in that area eat lunch early and we missed the crowd. The lunch menu was just a paired down dinner menu with apps, salads, and sandwiches. Everything sounded delicious. I went with the portobello burger and the lady went with a chicken salad. Both were amazing. So much flavor in both dishes. The portion sizes were great too. The only negative was my side. I got tomatoes and onions with balsamic. I expected chopped tomatoes and onions marinated in some kind of balsamic glaze, but they were just sliced and drizzled with plain balsamic vinegar. I could have easily done this at home. It's a small thing, but I expected something a little more advanced at a place like this. Overall, a great restaurant. If you're hesitant to go for dinner because of the higher prices, Saturday lunch is a great alternative. You'll get a taste of what they can offer at dinner. Sunday brunch is really good too. I highly recommend.

Moving from franklin to Thompson Station my wife and i were concerned there would be limited dining out options. There are very few places that aren't national chains but THIS is a great place with good food and pricing! I highly recommend this place.

Family owned place with exceptional service. Outstanding food ! And when they say hot chicken, they mean hot chicken. Portion size is not to be underestimated, all four of us left with a bag to go. The staff, which includes family members, could not be more accommodating and more customer service minded then most restaurants I've been in before. You wouldn't expect to find this restaurant in Thompson's station Tennessee, but it's here.

The single greatest food experience in Thompsons Station. Drink menu is something you would expect from a high end bar, and the food is high quality down home cooking. Chef Lance's Shrimp Creole is second to NONE.

We have visited this establishment at least 20 times. Not once have we been disappointed in their ever changing southern menu. We have talked to the chef Lance Holcome at many of our visits. He really knows his craft and is generous sharing but has a very humble attitude. The service is top notch! Prices are fair and reasonable when you consider the quality and care. You will not likely find a can in the kitchen, as i suspect it is all scratch made. This is a top 5 dining spot for us in Nashville and top 3 for Williamson county.

We're really, really happy we decided to "travel south" for brunch on Sunday. I had remembered some enjoyable dinners and visits quite awhile ago to the Thompson Station Grill, and honestly we didn't even know things had changed. And changed for the better. Love the antique door as you walk in, really antique, like general store from a million years ago heavy with leaded glass and neat handset antique. Great decor all around - love the vintage look light bulbs hanging from what appears to be a railroad trolley carriage overhead? Cool. Nice, dark hardwood floors, great trim throughout, and everything looks vintage. We were so happy to see that one of our regular waiters from my former favorite restaurant in Franklin (closed, sadly) had landed there, so I know things were going to be good. Great brunch buffet - pretty much everything you could want. Now this isn't uber fancy like a hotel brunch, but rather attractively dispalyed and hits the high notes. Good salad, fruit, super yummy cheesey potatoes, eggs benedict, scrambled eggs, some of the best bacon hubby and I had ever eaten (really!), biscuits and gravy, chicken tenders, pancakes, fish almondine (trout maybe? couldn't remember) and desserts. And for $15. Such a nice change of pace, and such a kudos for southern Williamson county. And one of the best "plus=es" in my book is they were busy, but not packed. No wait, and it was just busy enough that the cooks were constantly replenishing everything on the bar, but noone really got in your way. Add to that a mimosa, and yep, we'll be back for sure.

My husband and I have been here a few times. I have gotten the jerk chicken every time and have enjoyed it. For appetizers we really like the southern hushpuppies and green chili wontons. My husband orders specials, usually, and has enjoyed them. He got the tuna burger last time and was disappointed. If you go on a Friday or Saturday night, try to get a table outside, unless you want to yell across the table at your dinner date.

Circa is a medium to high end place with a casual atmosphere. We went on a Saturday evening after we made a reservation. I'm sure we could have walked in and waited at the bar for a table. Their cocktails are up to par with the craft cocktail craze. Expect to pay $10-$12 for a speciality cocktail. They have wine and beer options as well. I got the filet which was bigger than the average filet. I asked for medium rare which was under cooked but not a big deal. Waiter and GM both were very attentive in making sure it was returned to kitchen for a little more heat. While everything was very good it did seem to be on the salty side. When we go back I will ask that the steak come without the glaze that it was smothered in..twice. Overall a good experience to recommend for a date night.

Thank you sweet baby Jesus for a delicious restaurant in the TS/SH area that doesn't involved fast food, bad fried chicken, Mexican food, or pizza. Who knew it was possible? I have been wanting to try Circa for several months now and finally had the opportunity Friday night. We were seated without a wait, despite the place looking fairly busy. Service was fantastic. I wish I had caught his name so I could thank him here, but I was too busy eating half the menu. Husband and I both had the lobster bisque: fantastic. Best we've had in a long time, and best we've had in Tennessee. I had a house salad which was, shocker!, dressed properly! And quite yummy. Husband had the tuna burger which he said was good, but paled in comparison to the beef wellington special I had. My. God. Dr. Ruth says if the sex is really good, you should black out a little. Well, friends, life is a bit blurry around the time I ate that beef wellington it was so good. For dessert, I had the creme brulee, which was delicious and my husband had the bread pudding. Which he admitted was good, but nowhere near the creme brulee. Oh please go if you are near and they are open. I not only want them to thrive, but start opening for lunch!

This little restaurant is tucked away in a small farm town and could easily be missed. They will surprise you. Circa has a great chef who is a master at his craft. I have yet to find a menu item that wasn't superb. His fish specials are superb. Cooks a filet steak to perfection. Oysters on the half shell just right. Service excellent. Ask for Joseph. His mission is clearly to create a great experience for you and your guests.

We took my mom to Circa while she was in town visiting us last month. My husband had the spicy shrimp New Orleans pasta, my mom had the mahi mahi fish special and I had the ravioli. All of the dishes were great, but my mom said it was the best fish she has ever had! Quite the compliment so I felt I had to share it. I love the atmosphere here and wish we had more restaurants like this in the area.

DONT GO HERE!!!! Pretty sure the fish was undercooked, and why I got food poisoning a few hours later. GM was also very rude and service was terrible. Im seeking legal counsel on the food poisoning issue. They need to lower prices and fire their chefs and hire some real chefs

We just left Happy Hour at Circa and are thoroughly stuffed. In order to try the place out we thought happy hour was less of a commitment. Boy were we pleased! I ordered one of the specialty cocktails (Fleurs d' Camille) a grapefruit vodka and St Germaine concoction that was delicious! The Mister had a local Stout that was equally delish. We ordered three appetizers ($5 each! what a bargain) the Hushpuppies (excellent) with an awesome smokey Cajun sauce (not too spicy at all); the Hummus Platter featuring house-made beet and traditional hummus' with a tray of toasted pita bread and beautiful seasonal vegetables; lastly we ordered the pork Pistollets- two smallish (fist sized) smoked pork sandwiches that were wonderfully tender with a savory sauce and house-made coleslaw (that was NOT dripping with mayo). All-in, it was less than $30 and we really enjoyed the ambiance. We will definitely be back for more - so glad it's in our neighborhood.

We had just helped our daughter move to Spring Hill and needed to find a place to eat dinner. After a Yelp search we came here. What a fantastic find! The service was great, the food was outstanding and even the bar/wine/beer selection was great. I had a southern version of carbonara (I liked it even better than the Italian version) and my wife had a steak - cooked perfectly. Local/regional craft beers, California and Oregon wines, and some unique mixed drinks. I had a martini version of a margarita - wow! And the decor - very relaxing, casual. It is an old refurbished building with handmade furniture from reclaimed wood and even the wainscoting is reclaimed. Craftsmanship and a true care for the ambiance of this place are evident. This place is a winner. We will definitely make it a point to visit again.

Great Food!!! happy hours prices and selection of food on the happy hour menu was a nice surprise when we went to dinner last night. It's small place with a bit of country elegance mixed with a modern chic. The food was pretty decent and seemed fresh. The mac and cheese was awesome and the fried chicken was good. Although nothing really floored me, I can see myself coming back.

Circa has become a neighborhood favorite with a neighborhood that reaches from Columbia to Franklin. Their handcrafted cocktails are fantastic; my favorite is the Roderick Sour. My husband had their steak last night and it was amazing. He usually opts for trying their various burgers (love their bratwurst burger) and pastas. I've gotten stuck on their tuna burger but had swordfish last night - fantastic. We also finally broke away from their wonderful creme brulee dessert and had key lime pie. Now it will be hard to decide which dessert. They take reservations, so call ahead to snag a table as it does get crowded in the evenings. The bar is generally full from 6-7:30 but lightens up afterwards. The staff is fine tuned. The place has been up and running for well over a year and everyone knows what to do! I haven't been to brunch but it does seem to get crowded on Sunday with the church crowd! Enjoy!

Fantastic, tucked away little secret! The decor and mood is wonderful with high end cocktails and good quality dishes, but casual attire ok. Sure, you're going to pay a teeny bit more than at more casual places, but the atmosphere and service make it worth it. I will definitely be back! What could be better? - - - I had the shrimp creole which was tasty and filled me up, but I wish it would have been a bit hotter (in spice and temperature).. but to be fair I didn't request spicy and I have a higher tolerance for spice than most. What was best? - - - The booths! Huge, roomy and high backs with nice lighting effects makes your group feel like they have a lot of privacy and makes it easy to kick back and enjoy good conversation.

Was able to get same day reservations for early Saturday night. The service was very good and the menu was interesting. Food is tasty and prices are reasonable for what you get. The one things keeping it from 5 stars is the noise level. The restaurant is just one large area with little to contain noise

Our first visit to Circa Grill was a good one! A very impressive make over to the previous restaurant. A great menu and full bar. Excellent service makes for a wonderful dining experience. Well worth the short drive from Franklin. I really enjoyed to Brisket, collard greens and a variety of unique apps.

Excellent food, fair prices, good portions. Service was so-so. Reservations a must, packed on a Friday night. Happy Hour prices available at all tables, not just bar. Hummus was excellent - $5 for HH & plenty for 4 people to share. Enjoyed every drop of their portobello burger (no meat, just a giant shroom, $11) and the best homemade bun! Excellent sweet potato fries. Hubby had farfalle pasta ($17) & left nothing - good portion with two, large slices garlic bread. Dessert was okay - nothing to get excited over. Would we go back!? Yes, in a heartbeat.

At last a great dining experience in Thompson's Station! Circa is the perfect mix of rustic ambiance, great service, and terrific food. We came for Sunday brunch. I had the Skillet frittata and my wife had the Circa version of Eggs Benedict. Both were excellent. Best biscuits in town. We met Eddie, the general manager, who was very nice and eager to talk to us about all they offered from their menu. Wood fired oysters and a gumbo of the day are just some of the items he told us about. The homemade bratwurst used for the Bratwurst burger sounds awesome! We will be back and wish Circa the best going forward!

Went to brunch there on Sunday. I think they just had too many customers. They ran out of bacon at 12:45 and the buffet was picked over most of the time. They finally ran out of plates. When you could get some, the food was good as usual. Skip Sunday brunch on special occasions.

Perfect place for "date night". The place is in great shape. The food and drink menus are focused and unlike anything you'll find without making the drive up to Franklin. We had a couple soups and entrees and everything was excellent. The chicken sandwich was fantastic and I'll get it again. The menu is more upscale, and pricier, than most other Spring Hill restaurants so expect that going in. This has been a challenging location for a restaurant, so please spread the word. We need to support non-chain businesses in Spring Hill/Thompsons Station.

so happy that there is a restaurant in Thompson Station that is not a "Big Box" and has some character. The interior is very nice, the food is great. I have had everything from the full dinners to the sandwiches at this point and have not been disappointed jointed. Went to brunch on Saturday and was very pleased as well. Thank you Circa for not making me drive all the way to Nashville for a decent meal experience!
